Custom Design Process
1. Inquiry Phase (optional)
During this phase you may inquire about your service and the queue wait. The wait time is usually no more then two weeks and it will stay updated on the site (view below), so this phase is optional If you wish to ask a question about a service, or wish to inquire about a service not mentioned on the site, then please feel free to fill out the contact form here.
2. Order Phase
You may place your order by filling out the custom order form here. Once your order is placed you are entered into the queue and will receive an email within 1-2 business days. Attached to the email will be a questionnaire. The questionnaire is a form you fill out that will detail the inspiration and personal vision you have for your design.
Optional: You may also create a Pinterest board detailing your design inspirations. In it you may include photos, color palettes, illustrations, and fonts that draws your eye, and that best represents your style. When you are done please attach the link to this board with your finished questionnaire (you may continue to pin to the board during the design phase).
3. Design Phase
Once your questionnaire is filled out and returned then the design phase begins. The design phase is broken up into three steps.
- Moodboarding / Prototyping – A moodboard will be created that will document the colors, patterns, fonts, and overall style of your design (example), based off the answers provided through your questionnaire. Depending on the complexity of the design a prototype may also be created for blog and website designs.
(Turnaround time: 1-2 weeks)
- Revisions – After receiving your mood board you will be allowed revisions until you are completely satisfied with your design. The next step is your logo creating and branding board. (example)
(Turnaround time: Varies)
- Demo Site – After your revisions are cleared a demo (test) site will be created. The purpose of a demo site is for you to review and see the blog and/or website in action before it is installed. (example)
(Turnaround time: 1 week)
Right before the installation of your site, some basic information will be asked of you, such as the links to your social media sites (for icons), photos that need to be uploaded, login information for your site, etc. (Turnaround time: 1-3 business days)
For WordPress Sites: You must already have in place your domain name and hosting. It must be self-hosted on WordPress.org not WordPress.com
5. After Installation
You will receive all the design and code files provided to your email. After installation you are allowed 1 week of free revisions, and 30 days of free tech support. After the time is up revisions and tech support will be an additional fee.
