We’ve finally reach that time of year, the official start of fall is in 3 days! Fall is a good time of the year to revamp your blog or business. Today we have some tips on how you can prepare your blog or business for Fall.
1. Re-evaluate Your Blog
It is very easy to get complacent with your blog, especially when you feel you’re doing pretty good. Do not allow where you are to make you comfortable. Fall is a good time of the year to review where you are and to brainstorm ways to advance your blog or business. Have you looked into new ways of monetizing your blog? Have you added any new products to your site in the past month? Have you updated your SEO recently? Are you regularly sharing your posts on social media? These and many other questions should be reviewed when re-evaluating your blog or business.
2. Check Your Brand
Re-evaluate your brand including your fonts and colors. Are you using bright summery colors in your blog header? If so this may be hurting your brand. If you are using bright colors try to tone them down to be more muted. If you’re not liking your current branding right now is a good time to re-vamp it.
3. Update All Your Posts and Products
Update your photos and call to actions. Are you using photos of palm trees in your featured blog images? Is your e-book cover someone laying on the beach with a martini in their hand? When reviewing your posts make sure your photos are matching the season we’re getting into. This may mean taking new images or uploading more seasonal stock images to your blog and social media.
4. Create Freebies
Set up freebies for your newsletter. Ask yourself: “What do my readers need for this season?”. If you are a food blogger create a “Thanksgiving recipes e-book” freebie. If you are a fashion blogger create a “fall style guide” freebie. If you are a designer create a “fall wall art” freebie. Creating exclusive seasonal freebies is a great way to increase your newsletter subscriber numbers.
5. Review Your Prices and Services
Are you still running sales from this past summer? If so take them down! Create new sales for the upcoming holiday season. Trash products or services that haven’t sold in the past year, or simply re-vamp them. Create bundle deals and brainstorm new products and services to add to your site.
6. Set Goals!
Is there a certain number of followers you want? Is there a particular brand or blogger you want to collaborate with? What clients do you want to work with? Write all your goals down and review them. From there set up actionable steps to achieve them.
